FEMA Intake Centers Open Aug 28 - Sep 5 for Storm Damage Assistance
FEMA and the Indiana Department of Homeland Security will begin rapid intake for all Lake County residents who experienced home damage and whose homes were uninsured or underinsured, beginning Friday, August 28. Intake center staff can help you start your FEMA application, check your application status, and get answers to your questions. Walk-ins are welcome — no appointment necessary.
Intake centers will operate daily August 28 through September 5 at rotating locations in Crown Point, Hobart, Gary, and Munster.

You can also apply online 24/7 at DisasterAssistance.gov or call FEMA at 1-800-621-3362 (TTY: 711). FEMA assistance is available regardless of citizenship status.
